Passionate Detachment

So attachment leads to suffering, this is a truth. But how do you drive your life, your programs, your business without suffering? Should you become distant and withdrawn to avoid this suffering?

I have had great luck with an approach I call passionate detachment. Be being slightly detached from the actual result you can plunge in with full passion. By not focusing on just the end game you can actually take your game up several levels as you deeply commit yourself to the process, not the end result. Often we can't predict the end results anyway so why get attached to this?

I see this a lot with programs that get rolled out at work. Some get traction, some don't. The great leaders know how to roll with this punch by being passionate about the project and not fixed on the singular result. Can you take a punch at work but still keep moving ahead?

Passionate detachment. In your business life and in your personal life, what are you so committed to that regardless of the results you are in the game for the long haul?
